FORT COLLINS — Leaving home is never easy, especially when one knows moments of discomfort await.
The theory is the long-term payoff will be worth some moments of awkwardness, even the feeling of starting over from scratch. Being the new kid in town is a challenge, especially when you want something for yourself and having to prove you can grasp it within the confines of an established team with goals already firmly in place.
"For sure it's a step of uncomfortablity, and you have to accept you're going to be uncomfortable," said quarterback K.J. Carta-Samuels, the first of three graduate transfers to join Colorado State's football team for the 2018 season.
