CSU football get first in-state verbal from Windsor's Tapia

Colorado State's football program picked up a seventh verbal commitment for the 2017 class, but the first one from inside the borders as Windsor linebacker Corte Tapia made his pledge on his Twitter account.

Tapia helped lead the Wizards to the 4A state title last year with his all-around game, but his work on the defensive side is what drew attention. He led the state with 15.5 sacks on the year (a state record) and finished with 157 tackles overall. Windsor has been a good target spot for the Rams in the past, grabbing Jim Thorpe Award winner Greg Myers and standout linebacker Nate Kvamme from the Wizards' program.
