FORT COLLINS — As Emmanuel Jones put it, the first two weeks felt like chasing shadows.
Colorado State had heard rumors Hawaii was going to a run-and-shoot offense, but it had not true idea what it looked like or who would be the key players. The Warriors scored 43 points and had more than 600 yards of total offense.
A week later, Colorado had new personnel who turned out to be rather explosive, as well as a new play caller. The Buffs tagged the Rams for 45 points and just missed 600 yards of offense.
