LAS VEGAS — The process isn't random in the slightest.
When Colorado State head coach Mike Bobo picked players to represent his program at the Mountain West media days this week, he wanted well-spoken student-athletes, leaders who have earned their way via the work they've put in on and off the field.
In Kevin Davis and Nolan Peralta, Bobo highlighted "character guys," players on his team who hold a well-earned reputation with the coaching staff and their peers. Yet, their appearance was still part of the grooming process for two seniors who aren't exactly the most vocal on the Rams roster.
