Colorado State football coach Mike Bobo has been spurned by his original choice for defensive coordinator, leaving him on the hunt to fill a crucial role on his staff once again.
A source within the Oakland Raiders organization confirmed Thursday that Derrick Ansley will be hired as a secondary coach with the team. On Monday, sources within the CSU program said Ansley, who was the secondary coach at Alabama, had accepted Bobo's offer to be the Rams defensive coordinator.
Bobo had six positions to fill this off season as former defensive coordinator Marty English retired at the conclusion of the season, cornerbacks coach Terry Fair left for Tennessee, along with offensive line coach and offensive coordinator Will Friend.
