Colorado State center Jake Bennett has been named to the 2016 spring watch list for the Rimington Award, it was announced Tuesday.

Bennett started all 13 games for the Rams last year at center, helping the team average better than 200 yards per game rushing as the offense ranked 11th nationally by allowing just 4.62 tackles for loss per game while allowing just 1.17 sacks per contest. The junior from Bear Creek High School started three games as a redshirt freshman before being sidelined the remainder of the year with a knee injury. He redshirted his first season behind Weston Richburg, a Rimington Award watch list member who was drafted in the second round of 2014 by the New York Giants.
