Niko Medved and Colorado State have made it abundantly clear this season — there are no moral victories in basketball. But the Rams got about as close as a team can to one during a 100-96 overtime loss to first-place Utah State on Tuesday.
CSU found itself locked in a bloodbath against the first-place Aggies during most of the second half. And despite forcing an extra five minutes, the Rams' couldn't withstand Sam Merrill's career-high 38 points. With the win, Utah State clinched at least a share of the Mountain West regular season title.
