For a brief moment, it looked attainable for Colorado State on Wednesday evening.
Playing No. 7 Nevada, the Rams needed everything to go their way for an upset dream to come true. Following a 9-0 run late in the first half that left the Rams trailing by one, the possibility was there.
That is until Nevada (19-1, 6-1 Mountain West) put together the most lopsided half of basketball of any team in the country this year, outscoring the Rams (7-12, 2-4 MW) by 33 points in the final 20 minutes to glide out of Lawlor Events Center with a 100-60 victory.
