FORT COLLINS — A sinking feeling permeated the locker room after the first game, and it wasn't helping Kevin Nutt in the least.
He wasn't alone, as the 2016 season opener against Colorado left the entire Colorado State football program reevaluating and soul searching.
Nutt still wasn't convinced he was ready for his new role.
Then he saw the tape.
"I was kinda nervous, and after the game, I didn't feel too good about it," said Nutt, who saw some extensive time at cornerback in the loss. "But after watching the film, I didn't do that bad, and I got compliments from Coach (Terry) Fair and Coach (Mike) Bobo for my first actual game playing that I did pretty well.
