Colorado State's Rashard Higgins combines attitude and work

FORT COLLINS — The feeling was whoever the new quarterback was, Rashard Higgins would help make him better.

Logic (when applied) suggested it wasn't going to be quite that simple. The guy throwing the ball for Colorado State last season was Garrett Grayson, an experienced starter who was coming off a record-breaking season as a junior. In 2014, the two combined to rewrite the passing portion of the record book for the Rams, leading to Higgins becoming a consensus All-American and a Biletnikoff Award finalist, Grayson becoming a third-round NFL draft pick by the New Orleans Saints.
