Colorado State's rally falls just short in Arizona Bowl loss to Nevada

TUCSON, Ariz. — A lot of real estate, not a lot of time and no timeouts.

Not an ideal situation for a Colorado State offense, not against a Nevada pass rush that applied pressure all night long.

Still, the Rams moved down to the Nevada 21 with 15 seconds on the clock Tuesday night when Nick Stevens hit Jordon Vaden on an out pattern. But instead of heading out of bounds, Vaden cut back in the field, was tackled short of the first-down marker at the 11 — which would have stopped the clock to move the chains.
