FORT COLLINS — Colorado State’s offensive line is a work in progress.
With guard Fred Zerblis hurting, center Jake Bennett has moved to guard and Kevin O’Brien is running as the starting center.
O’Brien, then a non-scholarship player, started the final eight games of the season in 2014 after Bennett suffered a season-ending knee injury during the bye week.
On Friday, Bobo confirmed that O’Brien and snapper Trent Sieg had been told they have been awarded scholarships, and classes start Monday.
“First all, it’s an awesome thing to be able to reward a young man that’s worked extremely hard and earned it,” Bobo said.
