FORT COLLINS — Every coach has had one. The athlete who thinks they are much better than they actually are. Try as the coach might, they can't get the athlete to see the truth.
For four years, Tom Hilbert has dealt with a problem on an entirely different spectrum.
Try as he may — it was tough, nearly impossible — to prove to Jaime Colaizzi she was better than she ever gave herself credit for, basically because she expected the impossible.
Perfection.
"It is cool. She's always going to work, so she uses her own stress as a motivator," Hilbert said.
