Gian Clavell is officially coming back to Colorado State for the 2016-17 season.
The sharp-shooting senior guard has been granted a medical hardship waiver, the team confirmed Friday night, giving him another season of eligibility after suffering a season-ending broken hand last December.
In April, head coach Larry Eustachy was confident Clavell would be back, saying that it was a "slam dunk that he meets the criteria."
This is the second year in a row CSU has had a player granted an additional year of eligibility because of injury after Antwan Scott came back from a broken foot.
