Gian Clavell put together one of the most impressive two-game stretches in recent Colorado State basketball history last week. The league announced Monday that Clavell was named the Mountain West Player of the Week for his performances against San Jose State and San Diego State.
Clavell averaged 30.5 points and 10 rebounds in the pair of CSU victories. The 6-4 senior guard scored 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting while grabbing 12 rebounds over the Spartans.
The Rams leading scorer showed his flair for the dramatic three days later at San Diego State. Clavell put the the team on his back essentially, as he served as the catalyst for CSU’s improbable come-from-behind win.
