The Colorado State women’s basketball team officially made history after defeating Utah State on February 17th, 2016, marking 20 straight wins on the season. This win-streak broke the previous record of 19 consecutive wins held by the 1998-99 team, which was led by retired professional basketball player and former Olympian Becky Hammon, who is also currently an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs (NBA).
Since the victory over Utah State, the Rams have also defeated Wyoming and New Mexico, making the team record a current 22 consecutive wins, now the longest winning streak for any basketball team in Colorado State University history.
