FORT COLLINS — Move over Becky Hammon and Katie Cronin. The duo that led the Colorado State women's basketball team to the longest win streak in program history now has company.
Saturday the Rams stomped visiting UNLV, 83-52, at Moby Arena for their 19th straight win, matching the Hammon-Cronin-led 1998-99 squad that also won 19 in a row.
CSU, one of just six teams in the country with fewer than two losses and owners of the second-longest active win streak, improved to 22-1 overall and remained on pace for a third consecutive Mountain West regular season title at 12-0 in league play.
