Colorado State women's basketball leans on defense to beat Morgan State

The Colorado State women's basketball team leaned on its defense to bounce back from its first loss of the season, holding Morgan State to just five fourth-quarter points in a 54-36 win Friday at Navy's Alumni Hall in the first game of the Navy Classic.

Keyora Wharry was the lone Ram in double-figures with 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting to go with six rebounds, four assists and three steals. But CSU (4-1), which returned to the win column after Tuesday's one-point loss at Penn, didn't need a ton of offense.

The Bears (1-4) shot just 23 percent from the field (14-61) and just 17.
