FORT COLLINS — If there was one thing the Colorado State women's basketball team had to do against Prairie View A&M, it was hold onto the ball.
The Panthers entered Monday night on a seven-game losing streak and without a win this season against a Division I opponent. They're also among the worst teams in the country in scoring defense and 3-point shooting.
But the one thing they do well is turn you over, ranking 13th nationally with 23.1 forced turnovers per game.
The Rams' ball security wasn't flawless, and at times they were downright careless with the ball, but overall their 12 turnovers were good enough to hold on for a 71-59 victory at Moby Arena.
