FORT COLLINS — With a killer crossover and lightning-quick first step, Keyora Wharry seems capable of getting a clean look at the rim whenever she wants.
Problem was, often times last season her million-dollar move was followed by a 10-cent finish.
This season, though, that weakness has become a strength.
After shooting 41.5 percent as a junior, Wharry is shooting a team-best 51.3 percent from the floor as a senior, ranking fourth in the Mountain West.
Her 10.8 points and 4.3 rebounds a game earned her all-conference honors, but she easily could have been named the conference player of the year, an honor that instead went to teammate Ellen Nystrom.
