FORT COLLINS — If the non-conference is any indication, then the Colorado State women's basketball team should have little trouble winning its third straight regular season Mountain West championship.
At 10-1, the Rams won three more non-league games than any other MW team (New Mexico, Wyoming, UNLV and Boise State all won seven), and CSU's RPI of 54 is 60 spots better than the next best (UNM, 114).
A dominant defense ranked third in the country in points allowed (48.6 per game) and a balanced offense seems to have only made the Rams even heavier favorites have being picked to win the conference in the preseason.
