FORT COLLINS — Gian Clavell is confident that he and Emmanuel Omogbo are the best 1-2 punch in the Mountain West.
New Mexico's Tim Williams and Elijah Brown can certainly make a strong argument, but on Wednesday Clavell and Omogbo stated their case pretty well.
The CSU tandem each recorded a double-double as the Rams rolled past visiting San Jose State, 81-72, at Moby Arena.
Omogbo finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds for his league-leading 11th double-double of the season before fouling out. Clavell scored 17 of his team-leading 24 points to go with 11 rebounds.
