FORT COLLINS — Michael Gallup didn't come home with a trophy from Atlanta, but the Colorado State wideout earned major recognition Thursday in the process.
Gallup wasn't chosen as the Biletnikoff Award winner, given annually to the nation's top receiver, but his evening started out well, being named a first-team All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. It is one of five All-American teams recognized officially by the NCAA as well as the original one, and Gallup becomes the fourth Ram to be named by the organization, following Rashard Higgins (2014), Mike Bell (1978) and Greg Myers (1995).
