Colorado State junior middle hitter Acacia Andrews has spent most of the season atop the Mountain West's leaderboard in hitting percentage. This past weekend, she proved she's pretty adept at the defensive part of the game, earning the Mountain West defensive player of the week award.
In a pair of road sweeps over Nevada and San Diego State that pushed the Rams' record to 11-3, 4-0 in MW play, Andrews averaged 2.17 blocks per set.
She started her weekend with a season-best eight blocks in the win over the Wolf Pack, then backed that up with five more against the Aztecs.
