Colorado State volleyball vaults in polls; Adrianna Culbert named player of the week

FORT COLLINS — The first week of the season was productive for Colorado State's volleyball team, starting with three wins on the court to sweep to the Rams Volleyball Classic title.

Monday, senior opposite hitter/setter Adrianna Culbert was named the Mountain West player of the week, and by virtue of those three victory, the Rams moved into the top 10 of the polls, landing at No. 9.

Culbert, the preseason pick for player of the year, was named the tournament MVP after averaging 2.56 kills, 5.44 assists and 3.33 digs per set, all while hitting .373. The highlight of her weekend was the triple double she recorded in the win over UC Davis, finishing with 10 kills, 20 assists and 12 digs.
