BOULDER — A young team needs time to grow, and 11 games in non-conference play have supplied some lessons for Colorado State's volleyball team as it heads into Mountain West play after splitting a pair of matches Saturday.
The Rams oped the day with a 25-18, 25-14, 25-15 sweep of Chicago State before falling to host Colorado 25-22, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21 to close out the Omni Invitational at the Coors Events Center.
The day started strong for the Rams (6-5) as they totaled 45 kills in the match, led by Sanja Cizmic with 11, compared to just 12 errors.
