Colorado State volleyball players speak out on social injustice

Colorado State's volleyball team held signs during the National Anthem prior to Saturday night's match with New Mexico, then posted them in front of the student section. As a group, they read a statement about working to correct social injustices and answering questions postmatch. (

FORT COLLINS — As athletes at Colorado State, Cassidy Denny and Jessica Jackson understand they have a platform to speak out. It was a campus-wide meeting of athletes a few weeks back that moved them to use it for what they hope can be a positive message.
