LOGAN, Utah — Winning two matches at home was a great start for Colorado State last weekend, and it was the norm as Mountain West play opened.
Coach Tom Hilbert knows every road win is going to be crucial this season with a wide-open road to the title, and his Rams took a positive step Thursday night in sweeping Utah State 26-24, 25-20, 25-18.
"It's really good. Our serving and our passing for the most part were really good," Hilbert said, his team now 9-5 overall, 3-0 in MW play. "For the most part, we were better than they were, and we were in their gym.
