FORT COLLINS — Seeking a cushion in the Mountain West standings, No. 21 Colorado State made an emphatic statement in the third set of Tuesday's Border War match with Wyoming.
Come and get us.
The Rams capped the sweep of the Cowgirls with a 25-9 closer, the first time this season CSU has held an opponent to single-digits in a set, and it came off the heels of two impressive set wins (25-21, 25-19) each providing a difficulty for the Rams to overcome in the process.
In the third set, the Rams (14-3 overall, 7-0 MW) basically took Wyoming (15-4, 5-2) to the woodshed behind Moby Arena without the courtesy of allowing the Cowgirls to pick their own switch.
