FORT COLLINS — Tom Hilbert didn't really want to be the center of attention Thursday night, but his middles helped put the Colorado State volleyball coach under the spotlight at Moby Arena.
With a 25-17, 25-21, 25-15 sweep of Nevada, Hilbert registered his 500th victory as the Rams head coach, just the 14th active mentor to win that many with their current program. His overall record (including his eight years at Idaho) now sits at 674-190.
Most important to Hilbert, currently in his 19th season with CSU, was it was the Rams' sixth straight victory, putting them at 6-0 in Mountain West play, 12-5 overall.
