Colorado State went the full distance in a match for the first time this season, coming up empty in the end as the No. 14 Rams dropped a five-setter Tuesday night on the road to Texas A&M, 25-15, 19-25, 25-19, 21-25, 15-11.
The Rams went 1-2 on their Texas road swing, and while coach Tom Hilbert felt his team showed some positive signs in a loss to No. 4 Texas, he didn't feel his team was at its best to end the trip.
"Set 1 was probably our poorest set in four years," Hilbert said. "But we came back from that and did some good things serving at times, and that helped us.
