FORT COLLINS — Not winning the conference tournament hurt deep for Cassidy Denny.
As the lone senior on the Colorado State volleyball team, not winning the conference title for the first time in seven years stung, and it also put the Rams' chances of making the NCAA Tournament on the bubble. So she waited and hoped for six days, then early in the selection show, she let out a scream.
The Rams (21-8) earned an at-large bid into the field and will face Kentucky (22-7) Friday (6 p.m.) in a four-team pod hosted by No. 8 overall seed Washington in Seattle.
