LAS VEGAS — Colorado State liked its draw in the Mountain West tournament. Turns out, the 6th-seeded Rams were right.
CSU provided the biggest upset of the tournament so far late Thursday night at the Thomas & Mack Center with an 88-81 win over 3-seed Boise State in the quarterfinals.
The Rams (18-15) advanced to face No. 2 seed Fresno State (23-9) on Friday (9:30 p.m. CBS Sports Network) after the Bulldogs took care of UNLV. This is CSU's fourth MW tournament semifinal appearance in the past five years.
