FORT COLLINS — Colorado State will receive a one-time payout of $659,061 from the NCAA per an agreement with the NCAA Board of Governors and the Division I Board of Directors, according to a story from USA Today.
Each member institution will receive a different payout based on its number of scholarships.
CSU's distribution is the second-smallest in the Mountain West, behind only Air Force, which will take in $520,337. San Diego State will receive the biggest check at $887,272.
Ohio State will take in the most in the country at $1.3 million.
The funds are from "the liquidation of a type of endowment that had grown to more than $360 million," according to USA Today.
