FORT COLLINS — When Colorado State opens the new on-campus stadium on Sept. 9, 2017, the football team will be playing Abilene Christian, the university announced Wednesday.
Athletic director Joe Parker also said the Rams will take on Pac-12 team Oregon State on Sept. 23 at the new stadium, completing the non-conference slate for the team that season, one that also includes the season opener with Colorado in Denver on Sept. 2 and a trip to Alabama on Sept. 16. It marks one of the more ambitious non-conference schedules for Colorado State in recent memory.
"We are extremely excited about the opening of our new stadium in 2017 and bringing Rams football back to campus," said Colorado State football coach Mike Bobo in a release.
