FORT COLLINS — Colorado State's football team is extending its run through the SEC, and it is bringing the men's basketball team with them.
CSU athletic director Joe Parker announced Thursday a contract for the football team to play at Arkansas on Sept. 14, 2019, while the men's basketball team will have a home-and-home series with the Razorbacks in 2017-18 (at Fayetteville) and '18-'19 (at Moby Arena).
Parker had initiated talks with Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long during the football season, and as they developed, the basketball component came into play. The two worked together at Oklahoma, and Parker said Long has always been very helpful and open in these situations.
