FORT COLLINS — Colorado State is set to hire Niko Medved as its next men's basketball head coach, a source has told the Reporter-Herald.
The source said a contract has not yet been finalized but confirmed Medved will be the one to replace Larry Eustachy, who was forced to resign last month amidst the school's second investigation of his verbally abusive behavior in the past four years.
A former assistant under Tim Miles at CSU from 2007-12 and for one season under Eustachy, Medved just finished his first season as the head coach at Drake where he led the Bulldogs to the second round of the College Insider Tournament.
