Colorado State QB Nick Stevens continues to play well since being reinserted into starting role

FORT COLLINS — Nick Stevens looked ready — teammates called him more calm — when he was thrust back into the starting role three games ago when true freshman Collin Hill was lost for the season with a knee injury.

Out of the bullpen, Stevens helped finish the comeback against Utah State. He was rough in the first half against Boise State, but so was the entire offense. Then they combined for a flurry in the fourth quarter.

A week later at UNLV, Stevens was even better, and Saturday against Fresno State, the junior was spot on, especially in the first half of the 37-0 victory.
