FORT COLLINS — Colorado State senior punter Hayden Hunt was named a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award on Friday, the second straight year he has made the cut.
A finalist last year, Hunt is one of only three punters named as a semifinalist for the second straight season — Florida's Johnny Townsend and Cameron Johnston of Ohio State are the others — but he is the only finalist returning to the list. He is the only punter from the Mountain West to make the list, which was broken down and evaluated by the Ray Guy committee from a list of 66 candidates.
