After losing its top three scorers and rebounders from last season, the Colorado State men's basketball team was picked to finish seventh in the 11-team Mountain West by the media's preseason poll, released by the conference on Tuesday.
For the second straight year San Diego State and Boise State were picked to finish first and second, respectively. The Aztecs received 22 out of a possible 25 first-place votes. Utah State was picked third, followed by UNLV, Fresno State, New Mexico, CSU, Wyoming, Nevada, Air Force and San Jose State.
Fresno State guard Marvelle Harris, a first-team all-conference selection last year, was tabbed the preseason player of the year.
