FORT COLLINS — From the opening offensive set, it was clear things were going to be different.
Colorado State's women's basketball team, a squad averaging nearly 20 3-point attempts per contest, went down low in the paint.
And did so with point guard Keyora Wharry. It worked then, it worked all game and it worked with a multitude of matchups for the Rams, who posted their 15th straight victory with a 63-42 tally over Border War rival Wyoming at Moby Arena on Saturday.
Colorado State (18-1, 8-0 Mountain West) only took five shots from behind the arc all game (making two, one in the final minute from Jamie Patrick), but didn't need the marksmanship on the afternoon, outscoring the Cowgirls 40-12 in the paint.
