Colorado State offense shows explosive side

FORT COLLINS — Colorado State hadn't been explosive in the passing game all year. Implosive at times, but never explosive.

The running game hadn't been much better — just eight runs of 20 yards or longer all season. It total, the Rams entered Saturday's game with UNLV with just 39 plays on offense covering 20 yards or more.

Colorado State's longest play of the season was 49 yards, and that came the third week against Minnesota, a scoring toss from Coleman Key to Joe Hansley. Not even half the length of the field.
