Colorado State basketball coach Larry Eustachy wasn't a fan of his team's draw in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge, having to open the season at a Northern Iowa team coming off a 31-win season and an NCAA Tournament appearance.
Turns out, the Rams were up for the challenge, opening the season Saturday with an 84-78 road win over the Panthers at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
"I'm not surprised we won," Eustachy said on his postgame radio interview on 105.5 FM. "When you can shoot the ball the way we can shoot it, we can beat a lot of people a lot of places.
