FORT COLLINS — Another step closer.
Tuesday, Colorado State invited many of the top supporters of the on-campus stadium project to the topping off ceremony — the placement of the final piece of structural steel — the latest step toward the completed project the football team will call home beginning in the 2017 season.
CSU president Tony Frank said the opening will be a "welcome home" for all Rams, and that's how he signed the final beam before it was lifted into place.
For athletic director Joe Parker, this is the fourth time in his career he has been part of stadium construction.
