FORT COLLINS — Deonte Clyburn was set to be the feel-good story for Colorado State this season.
The senior linebacker had been cleared during spring practice to play after missing all of last season with a blood clot issue, and though a hyperextended knee limited him to just two weeks of practice then, he couldn't wait for the season ahead.
He represented the Rams at the Mountain West media summit in late July, then returned to join his teams for fall camp. Unfortunately for him, that only lasted three practices as he felt the familiar sensation in his calf once again, and a visit to the doctor revealed the clots had returned.
