Colorado State goes outside the box to find productive offense

FORT COLLINS — Mike Bobo brought an expansive playbook with him to Colorado State, one formulated over the course of 14 years of coaching at Georgia.

Within that framework one can find his base offense, the tried and true plays that work on their own, as well as to set up other plays to be used. Then there are those fringe plays, brought out every so often to keep the defense honest.

This year, Bobo has had to flip the script a bit. That base, which he said they'll use 75 percent of the time in a normal year or game, hasn't been as effective this season.
