FORT COLLINS — Colorado State's women's basketball team has been getting key performances all year, even off the bench. It was in that role that Alana Arias excelled last week, earning her Mountain West player of the week honors, it was announced Monday.
The 6-foot-4 forward from Porto Alegre, Brazil averaged 16 points and nine rebounds per game in a pair of conference road victories at San Diego State and Utah State. Arias had her first career double-double in the win over the Aztecs, scoring 14 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Against the Aggies, she finished with 18 points and eight rebounds.
