SAN DIEGO — If only.
An offense that is now moving up and down the field with relative ease had the same type of rhythm early.
A defense that has stuffed the nation's best ground game and the No. 2 rusher in back-to-back weeks had found that groove from the start.
"We believe we're the best team in the Mountain West right now," CSU quarterback Nick Stevens said after the Rams toasted San Diego State 63-31 on Saturday. "We had a few slips early in the season.
