Colorado State didn't have to extend past its own family to pick up its second verbal commitment for the football team, with McCook, Neb. linebacker Zach Schlager making public his intentions on Tuesday.
He is the younger brother of Jake Schlager, a starting safety for the Rams heading into his senior year. He was hopeful his brother would follow his path to Fort Collins, even if the two will never share the field, saying Zach was also the better player.
"I would be lying if I told him I didn't want him to come here," said Jake during spring camp.
