Colorado State will have a straight run through the 2017 season.
For the first time since 2010, the Rams' football team will play 12 consecutive games without a bye week built in as the Mountain West released the schedule for the season on Thursday.
In another quirk, CSU opens conference play with back-to-back road games for the first time since 1986 in the Western Athletic Conference. On the positive side, Colorado State will not face a team that has had a bye the week before, and the team will be home for the final two Mountain West games.
